Day 1 JUAN SANTAMARIA AIRPORT- SAN JOSÉ
In the afternoon, settling into our accommodation and welcome, our local team is in charge.
Transportation: 30 minutes - 1 hour by bus.

Day 2 SAN JOSÉ - ARENAL
Today, you will head towards the Arenal region. On the way, you can visit Poas Volcano National Park or the Waterfall Garden wildlife refuge. Once at your destination, there is much to choose from, such as visiting the Danaus Eco-center (approximately $13 to enter), Arenal Volcano National Park (approximately $15), and hot spring facilities during the day or at night (approximately $35).

Day 3 ARENAL - SARAPIQUI
During the day, you can decide to continue your trip through the Arenal Volcano region or head early towards Sarapiqui where you can white water raft (levels II-III, approximately $60), zipline (approximately $60), take a guided night excursion (approximately $22), or simply relax.

Day 4 PAVONA - TORTUGUERO
Early in the morning, you will head to Tortuguero on the Caribbean coast. In La Pavona (Caño Blanco, depending on the weather), you will board a motorboat to sail through the tropical flora and fauna to arrive to the lodge. You will have a free moment to explore the small village of Tortuguero, a strip of land between sea and river.
Transportation: 3-4 hours by bus and 1-2 hours by boat.

Day 5 TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, you will explore Tortuguero's channels by boat. This large aquatic national park consists of channels and lagoons in the middle of an impressive jungle. Through this unique and extraordinary network of rivers and swamps, you will discover crocodiles, toucans, turtles, howler monkeys, parrots, sloths, iguanas, and multicolored birds... In the afternoon, you can enjoy exploring the park's trail on your own.
NOTE: in the season (from the end of July until the beginning of November), there is the opportunity to assist with turtle nesting at night (Option to pay directly on site 25 USD)Transportation: No.

Day 6 LA PAVONA - LIMON - CAHUITA
In the morning, you will sail to the landing stage to get back in your vehicle before continuing to the southern Caribbean coast. On the way, you will be able to stop in Limon, the capital of Limon Province. Once there, you can visit Gandoca- Manzanillo National Refuge, El Jaguar wildlife refuge (approximately $20), horseback riding (approximately $90 at noon), or even visit the fascinating Cahuita National Park, which combines sea with coral reef, beach, coconut trees, tropical jungle and rich wildlife.

Day 7 YORKIN, MEETING WITH INDIGENOUS BRIBRI
This morning, you will go to the small village of Bambu in order to board a canoe to Yorkin where the indigenous Bribris live. You will disembark at the school level and take the main road through the native community consisting of wooden houses scattered in the forest. This place is totally adapted to its environment and our hosts will show us some of their customs: weaving natural fibers, using bows and arrows, and finally, cocoa tasting. You will return to the hotel at the end of they day.

Day 8 CARIBBEAN COAST - TURRIALBA
This is a day for enjoying the Caribbean coast or Turrialba. In Turrialba, you can tour coffee plantations and others on bicycle (approximately $75), or take a cooking class (approximately $15)...
Transportation: 3-4 hours.
Accommodation: House.

Day 9 CARTAGO - SAN GERARDO DE DOTA - UVITA
You return to the highway to arrive at the Pacific coast. You will pass through Cartago where you can visit Irazu Volcano National Park and the Virgen De Los Angeles (Black Virgin) basilica, and through Dota where there are many family-owned agricultural properties to visit and have lunch. Arrival to Uvita where you can enjoy the beach (Playa Hermosa and the beach in Ballena National Marine Park).

Day 10 CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK, San Pedrillo
Day dedicated to exploring Corcovado National Park, which is considered the jewel of tropical reserves. By boat and on foot we will tour the largest tropical rainforest on the American Pacific coast between crystal-clear waterfalls and pools on the trails in San Pedrillo. We will have the opportunity to observe a great variety of birds, including red macaws. Here we will also have the best opportunity to see jaguars and tapirs, especially on the beach when the sun sets. Return to the lodge.
Transportation: 45 minutes-1 hours by vehicle and 1-2 hours by boat, round trip.

Day 11 SAN PEDRILLO - SAN JOSÉ
During this day, there will be many possible activities before returning to San José. You can visit Manuel Antonio National Park where you can swim in crystal clear water bays and stroll in the heart of the jungle amongst sloths and squirrel monkeys. You can also enjoy Ballena Marine Park: take an excursion by boat to observe humpback whales, dolphins, turtles and/or manta rays; enjoy the beach, go horseback riding, walk along the rails in Hacienda Baru National Wildlife Refuge, go paddle boarding or kayak...
Transportation: 4-5 hours.

Day 12 SAN JOSÉ - JUAN SANTAMARIA AIRPORT
Depending on the hour of your transfer to the airport (arrive to the airport 3 hours before your flight), you can choose to visit the city: Gold Museum, Jade Museum, National Museum, Central Market, Artisan alley...
Transportation: 30 minutes-1 hour by bus.

- Cancellation received 13 to 7 days before the departure date: 75% of the total trip price will be retained
- Cancellation received less than 7 days before the departure date: 100% of the total trip price will be retained
- Fixed airfares: if your airline ticket was issued in advance, often done to avoid significant surcharges, you will be charged 100% of any non-refundable fees if you wish to change or cancel your flight plan.
- Fixed in-country costs: early charges for firm bookings will be charged if you cancel or modify your trip.
- Insurance costs: if you have taken out comprehensive or cancellation insurance, the cost of insurance is due and cannot be refunded.
